Description

The Bible has four Gospels that tell us about the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, but each one has its distinctives. The Gospel of Matthew could be described as "Jesus for the Jews." Matthew assumes knowledge of Jewish traditions and addresses concerns of the first century Jewish community. Matthew constantly quotes the Old Testament to show that Jesus is the long-promised Messiah. While Matthew shows Jesus coming through and to the Jews, he is also for anyone and everyone who would believe in him.
