2 Samuel chapter 9 tells of King David looking to show kindness to someone of Jonathan's family for Jonathan's sake. He finds a son of Jonathan named Mephibosheth and gives him a place at the king's table. It is a picture of God's kindness to us sinners because of Jesus Christ.
