We invent superheroes and their stories but Jesus is the true superhero. The Gospel of Mark presents Jesus as a spiritual superman - a demon-slaying, disease-curing overcomer of all evil. In Mark 1, Jesus comes bringing the reign of God to earth. His teaching and healing give us a glimpse of the perfected world when he returns.
