Description

I wasn’t entirely sure if I would send a newsletter out this week or not. But here we are.

In this voice note I am pondering how do we know when it is the right thing to push through, or when it is the right thing to pause and rest?

This is a theme that came up this week both for me personally and also in conversations I’ve had we peers and clients recently.

As someone who is both struggling with consistency and who is also practicing tuning -in to what my body wants and needs, alongside a self-compassion practice.

Oh yeah and rebelling at productivity culture… Leaning into what feels right is a practice.

How do you make a choice? Feel free to share by commenting below

In other news… Here are a couple of podcast recommendations that I’ve recently enjoyed (if you are into that kind of thing)

I recently listened to this episode with Niamh Orbinski, from Food, Body & Beyond. Here she is talking to Louise McSharry who graciously share about her own lived experience with dieting and weigth stigma. A powerful listen.

I also loved this conversation between Laura Thomas and Virginia Sole-Smith around some of complexities that are ultra processed foods.

And I think I’m on a Virginia Sole-Smith crush atm, reading her latest book Fat Talk, which is so good!.

I haven’t listened to this podcast episode yet around gardening and seeing gardening as a metaphor for the intersection of Diet culture and productivity culture. But it is next on my list.

This article from my Substack buddy Kristi from Almost Sated is an excellent read on how perfectionism shows up.

And if you some how missed last week’s lengthy article on my top 5 Non-Diet books, you can find it here.

With blessing, Linn
