This episode is exploring a little bit about the role of the breath in mindfulness practice.
Content note: mention of disordered breathing, pregnancy and labour
I share some personal experiences as well as my perspective as a teacher, sharing that the breath can be a brilliant ‘anchor’ but is also not necessarily ‘neutral’ or appropriate for all people in all circumstances.
I explore some different ways the breath is understood and used in mindfulness and meditation practices, as well as sharing two of my favourite go to breath-based practices.
