April is the month of the "re" on the podcast. My birthday week episode was entitle Restart: Birthdays & Beginnings, and with this episode falling on Easter Monday we decided to talk about resurrection. Welcome to Episode 10 -- Resurrect: Hope & Faith in Dead Situations.
- We open the discussion by each sharing a personal situation that we are struggling to find hope for.
- We follow that with what we've been doing to revive that hope. Tennille talks about how she leans into the word to help her do so, specifically citing scripture in Romans 15:13.
- I go on to share how I first define faith recognizing that words like hope and faith may take on different meanings for different people. I share the source of my definition In scriptures Hebrews 11:1 and Romans 10:17.
- I close out the discussion by sharing my thoughts on some of the not-so-appealing topics of suffering ad loss, and why we couldn't have hope without them. Romans 5:3-4 reminds us how our character and endurance are built In times of difficulty.
After all that, we decided to keep things light with this week's elective segment, and went with a round of "Over It & Overrated!" We're sure you ladies would agree with some of the things that we're already sick of, being stuck in the house and all. Be sure to share on social!
Finally, for this week's question of the episode we flipped the script on our discussion and asked the question in reverse, "Is there anything from your PAST that's 'dead' but that you have still WANTED to resurrect?"
Take a listen, and let us know. I can wait to hear from you!
Love,
Maaden
