Welcome to Season 2, Episode 10 "Unwrapped: Protecting Your Mental Health"

We talk about mental health including depression, anxiety and panic disorders, and some mood and personality disorders. We also share some of our experiences with learning and understanding our triggers and our trauma. 

Some common trauma responses that we outlined include:

We walked through some of the more common types of treatment available including prescription medication, alternative and complementary medicine, mindfulness and meditative practices, energy work, and psychotherapy -- focusing specifically on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). We also touched on various other forms of psychotherapy, and when they might help,.

Finally, Tennille shared a dating story from on of your faithful listeners, and I shared some thoughts on the book of Romans chapter 12. Today's scripture was: "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will."
