Just a few days before the premier of Season 2 of Sold A Story, APM Reports’ Emily Hanford sat down to talk about how she and her team decided to focus on the practice of everyday teaching — rather than math or science or social studies — and how they are once again trying to separate deeply-held beliefs from evidence.

It’s not just reading. It’s not just math. It’s the American practice of teaching, writ large. Starting next week, Season 2 of Sold a Story asks the thorny question, ‘What happened to teaching?’ But there’s no guarantee that educators, parents, or the general public will be ready for the answers Hanford uncovers.
