With the decline of Dogra empire the British double crossed India with Gilgit scouts overthrowing the Governor of Gilgit in October 1947 and enabling the illegal occupation of Gilgit Baltistan by Pakistan.
The podcast further discusses how the Great Game between Britain and Russia shaped the fate of the Aksai Chin region, where Soviet Union & China collaborated to mine this mineral rich region to fuel the Soviet Nuclear Program and strengthening Mao’s hands on its North Western flank.
