We also go on to discuss the recently declassified document of NSSM-200 which talked about population control in developing countries by USA to secure access to critical natural resources. In this podcast we decipher the good, bad and the ugly side of Green Revolution in India discussing all aspects from Hybrid Seeds, GMOs and even Environmental impact on Indian farmlands.
We go on to discuss how American interests, WTO rules pressurized India since 1991 to push for removal of the farm subsidies and open up Indian agriculture to American exports which could significantly impact India’s agriculture, small farmers and even food security. We end this episode by highlighting how American interests are pushing for deeper integration of Indian supply chains with American ones as part of trade territories which is a form of neo colonial policy of assimilation.
