what I could see in my physical reality. Through experience, I’ve come to know, that this is not our only point of reference for truth, for evidence of ‘what’s happening’. When we feel the sensations in the body, when we close our eyes and listen, with practice, we begin to hear, see and know, all the other ways that our inner intelligence (*you may call this soul, being, God, choose what resonates with you) communicates with us, particularly during those times when we’re struggling to see our path, or find clarity in our lives.
We’re quick to judge ourselves and others for not being ‘there’ yet, not understanding, not knowing our path. We label ourselves as being ‘in-decisive’, ‘‘procrastinators’, but what if that was a blessing? What if it was our inner intelligence giving us the space to come to a decision, to make a choice in our own unique timing? What if space is still needed for more information to come in? What if we could trust ourselves to know that we’ll move at the exact moment that’s right for us? This is just something to play with and think about as your listen to this poem…

An emerald water lake
What is to be my fate?
The river that runs
Stunned I feel
A pathway as I heal
Questioning what is real
What I imagine
I need to ration where my energy goes
So that I flow with ease
I must make peace with all that is me
I know I am free
Yet, my eyes say different in this reality
It’s surely insanity
To trust what you can receive
When you bet on what’s inside
What makes you feel alive
Following the third eye (*this article will explain to you a little about what the third eye is: https://www.healthline.com/health/mind-body/how-to-open-your-third-eye)
The path of the higher self (*this article will give you some information about the higher self: https://www.mindbodygreen.com/articles/connect-to-your-higher-self-what-this-phrase-really-means)
The self that I am
How long ago I begun
How much I ran
I swam to my depths to come back to this point in time
To remind myself of what’s important
Of what I forgot
That I am not lost
I am not confused
I am my own muse
Because the inspiration inside
It guides
Each step of my life
For she is wise
All knowing
No more moaning at what I think I see
And trust in serendipity
That there’s more to me than meets the eye
How high I’m destined to fly
Because the young me took the fall
So that, now, I could follow my hearts greatest call
