Ancient rivers that are taking me
Past this untuned melody
No longer draining melanin
I am the risen sunshine again
Can’t play pretend
Play dead
Coming out of your head
Oh, you’ve slept for so long
Awoken to find that in your slumber
Your dreams made their way
Into your waking days
You were never fazed
By all that you walked through
Choosing what was true
Over creating false meaning
That got you believin’
Meddlin’ and scheming
Thinking that you’re not exactly where you’re destined to be
Already
Trust me, witness
And you’ll see
How your magic cast spells of serendipity
To serenade your fears
Inner wisdom drawing near
Inner doubts drawing nigh
A setting sun
All that you were coming undone
To build again as one
In union
You’ve sailed through all that confusion
Beyond illusion
Chosen what you knew as real
What all the veils of this dream once concealed
You let yourself feel
To heal
Now you kneel in surrender to a deeper calling
A new chapter
As you fall, not in line
But to the knowing in your rhymes
Now is your time
To be the light that’s inside
