Description

I can’t feel a glimmer of sunshine
Lost in the parts stored inside of my mind
They all have stories about what they’ve found throughout my life

I try, instead, to look through your eyes

And then look through mine

And hope this will shine a light on what is true
The me that exists within yo (me) u

Maybe, I just always knew?
Where I was going
Where my waters were flowing
A light in my heart
That brought me right back to the start
With a depth of wisdom
That I could not hold
If I did not take a detour
If I did not take the path that journeyed away from you

Away from us as two

Maybe, I always knew exactly what to do
Maybe separation is what we create
To know what it feels like to hate
Until our souls refuse to believe that this is our only fate
Until we remember
Surrender
Find our way back to us as One
Maybe life is about holding space for it all
Because maybe without the fall
We would not rise

Yes, maybe this is about holding space for all of life
Maybe, this is what makes us wise
So that we can then choose
And at the same time, still walk in another’s shoes.
