Description

This week I’m diving into a common content hook, which is identifying a “problem” a member of your community might have and how you solve it.

I’m talking about the kind of posts we’ve all seen (or fell victim to) that are focused purely on selling versus helping. They paint a picture of a real or exaggerated problem you might be facing right now, getting you worked up or frustrated and wanting a solution ASAP, and then the solution they give you is to download or buy something from them, usually an expensive product, service, or course. If you don’t have any interest in buying, you leave that post still worked up, with no solution.

I talk about this problem-solving approach, how it likely made its way into our content, and how the energy behind it isn’t helpful. I offer a solution as to what we can focus on instead when talking to our community members about a common problem, issue, or challenge.

Have any reflections on this episode and the problem-solving content hook? I invite you to share your insights with me and the community over on Substack. Head to themindfulcontentcreator.substack.com.
