Description

When 2025 began, I imagined a very different story for this holiday season. I thought I’d be holding a newborn by the Christmas tree, exhausted in the best way, learning how to be a mom of two. But life shifted, and instead I’m entering Advent carrying both the ache of a baby we lost and the gratitude of another little one growing inside of me.

This episode is an honest reflection on what it means to walk into Advent with a heart full of both longing and hope. It’s for anyone whose year didn’t unfold the way they expected—and who is learning that God meets us in the middle of the tension, not after we’ve resolved it.

In this episode, I share:

🤍 The tender expectations I carried for this season—and how the story unexpectedly changed

🤍 How Advent gives us permission to feel grief and gratitude side by side

🤍 Why this season feels especially honest and holy after experiencing loss

🤍 The embodied experience of missing one baby while carrying another

🤍 How God meets us in the middle of longing, not after it’s resolved

🤍 A blessing for anyone entering December with an unanticipated story

Whether you're grieving a loss, carrying a quiet joy, facing an unexpected detour, or holding a mix of both—this episode will remind you that Advent is for the in-between places. You don’t have to choose between joy or sorrow. You’re allowed to bring your whole heart.
