Description

Going without is a lost practice in this day and age of hyper-availability. Therefore, the responsibility is  ours to make things a bit more challenging, and at the same time, reap the benefits of simplicity. "Comfort is a false deity"is another reminder that I employ to seek out a bit more difficulty that will reward more than punish... through experience, I discovered that fasting was a free and staggeringly beneficial option for me to invite a bit more challenge into my life.

Even if being hungry may seem painful, the choice to fast on a regular or intermittent basis will ease your pain and retrain your body's responses to the things you put in it. This is a phenomenal tool to increase your energy, enhance your potential for a longer and healthier life, and reprogram the ways in which we understand food as fuel. Don't knock it til you try, and don't skip this episode if you're still seeking more support for your decision to embrace some of your own select discomfort.
