Description

You’ve completed your Leadership Audit, and now have a clear sense of why you want to develop your Selfship. Perhaps you winced a bit as you completed the audit as you came face-to-face with the challenges in your life. You knew they were there, but now you’re not only more aware of them, you know what they’re costing you.

I also want to remind you to take it easy on yourself throughout this process. "Test and rest"—that's the mantra. After you test the edges of your comfort zone, return to your comfort zone for some rest.

The second baseline you’re going to set for this journey is what I call “The 6-3-1”. This baseline will help you identify what has held you back up until this point. I’ll explain the 6 Gravitational Laws that prevent growth, the 3 Myths that promise growth but can't deliver, and the 1 Truth that enables us to defy the Laws and dispel the Myths.

Drawing from these two baselines, we’ll delve into the resources, tools, and frameworks that you can use to improve Selfship. We’ll begin by clarifying how your Nature and Narrative affect the way you show up in your personal life and professional life. Nature refers to your unique temperament and type. I’ll introduce a tool that will help you gain a deeper understanding of your strengths, weaknesses, and tendencies. You’ll emerge from this phase of Selfship with a greater understanding of your unique leadership voice and how to express it.

But your Nature is only half of the equation. You live out a story that’s uniquely your own every single day. As with all stories, the setting, cast, and events shape the story and its characters. Your story is no different. I’ll take you through a process that will enable you clarify your story and how it's influenced you up to this point. I’ll also help you create a vision for how you want to shape your story in the future.

With your Nature and Narrative serving as a foundation, I’ll introduce you to a series of practical frameworks you can draw from to increase your Selfship. As you put them into practice, you’ll demonstrate greater levels of self regulation and authenticity. In short, you’ll have a greater sense of Selfship.

I can’t promise that you’ll surmount every challenge that you stated in your Leadership Audit, but I can promise that as you invest in this journey toward Selfship you’ll begin to show up with a greater sense of self in your personal and professional life.
