The Christian metal band Skillet produced a video for their rendition of “O Come, O Come Emmanuel.” Some Christians in America are losing their minds over it, calling Skillet band members Satanic, demonic, or unChristian for producing this version of a Christmas hymn. Skillet only did what Skillet does, in a beautiful version of the song. No church is going to start playing this version of the Christmas song, nor should they. The brouhaha has generated more than 812,000 video plays for Skillet. Beathe, people! This too shall pass. This resurrected the fights over Contemporary Christian Music from the mid- and late-1980s.
