Description

We are wired for safety, but we are called to curiosity. Curiosity opens hearts; grace allows people to walk through the door. People rarely transform when they're attacked; they transform when they're seen. This episode explores how fear can harden into judgment, how curiosity can bridge our divides, and how grace creates the space for healing. It's a reflection on choosing love over fear and cooperation over control ... and remembering the spark of the Divine within us that still believes love can weave justice and wholeness out of what's been torn apart.

I preached this sermon on October 12, 2025 at Rockville United Church in Rockville, Maryland. This was a blessing of the animals service; hence, the animal references and the regretful dog wiggle-butt illustration in the middle of the sermon.
