Hello friends.
We’ve made it. 2026. How wild. I never would have expected this year. I have a hard time imagining what the future holds, so it never fails to amaze me where I land. How about you? How do you feel today, at this start of something new?
Our meditation to start the year is one from the archive, as my voice is not yet ready to create. While I’m not grateful to have been sick this past week, I am grateful for the chance to slow down and be still and think about what it is I’d like to bring into this new year.
I’m not saying anything about resolutions today, but intentions. Just as we start many of our months together: what do we want to bring into this moment? Any moment is a chance to shift and begin again, but there’s an energy to a collective moment like this one.
In light of that energy and also in respect to my own abilities, we won’t be taking on The 30 Day Sit this month. Instead, I’d like to offer you something that’s not a resolution or a program or another thing to check off your to do list.
Maybe it’s a shift, an intentional move toward something that you might want: calm, quiet, mindfulness, clarity, focus… insert your word here. So over this next month, maybe we will be quiet and slow, honoring the winter, honoring ourselves without adding one more thing, but inviting it.
