Hello and good evening, friends.

I’ve had a hard time finding words today. There’s so much going on in the world, in our collective and separate lives. It’s hard to know where to begin.

I know there’s a lot to do in our day to day lives and also with the wider issues at hand. It can be exhausting to simply keep up with the news. So what do we do when that’s the case? I think we have to find ourselves where we are and find ways to resource ourselves.

I had someone ask me recently if the people I’m seeing in sessions and classes are talking about [insert thing here] and what I have found is that mostly people want to recognize the horrors and move into what will help face them. So finding rest, finding healing, finding the breath. Taking action without caring for ourselves can leave us drained.

So tonight’s meditation is for you to find the rest you need. You don’t need permission to rest, but maybe you need some encouragement. It’s okay to take these moments for yourself, to relax, to breathe. It means that in the very next moment, you can be more present.
