Hello and good morning, friends.
We’re still in this place of meditation practice invitation. One of the things about meditation that can feel like opportunity or very much the opposite is when we get distracted. I know from my own experience how discouraging it can feel to find out just how loud or busy our minds can be. It doesn’t have to be a negative though.
The very act of beginning again with each distraction we discover is full of possibility. I really believe that. It’s the possibility to know ourselves and our minds a little better. It’s also an opportunity to be gentle with ourselves and let go of judgment. No matter how many times we find ourselves wandering away from focus, we can have this open place to start anew.
Often folks tell me that they’re “bad” at meditation because they can’t get their minds clear of thought. Your mind is going to work itself through. It’s what minds do. It’s our response to it, the willingness to begin again, that makes the difference. Slowly but surely, you’ll feel a shift in that busy/distracted mind.
I hope you’ll explore with me today and be gentle with yourself and your mind.
Thank you for being here. 💗 Take care.
