Hello and good morning, friends.
As we often do at the start of a month, we’re coming back to an invitation to practice. If you’ve wandered away from meditation, been intimidated to start, or you’re not just sure what’s going on, today is especially for you.
I hear often from folks that they’d love to have a steady practice but once they miss a day or feel like maybe their mind is too busy, they drop away. It’s hard to keep things going! I struggled for a long time to have a regular practice.
Unlike how it may feel at times, some of the real magic in meditation comes from beginning again. We begin again with each breath and realizing each distraction: an opportunity every time. This is the space where a gentle quiet can start to find its way to even the busiest of minds. We’re not shutting things off, but we’re finding space.
