Hello and good morning!
I find myself thinking often about the changes that can happen from just one person. Even the difference that you can make in a person’s day by seeing them. It’s easy sometimes to not really look at the parking attendant or not engage with the person at the store’s register. Lots of people don’t. If you’ve ever worked jobs like these, you know.
I had an interaction with a nurse at the doctor’s office the other day that got me thinking a bit about this. She had to help me with something sort of complicated and thanked me for being kind with her. How many times are people rude to this nurse? Or they don’t engage with her?
So I’m hoping today after you’ve sat with this idea of calm presence, maybe you consider what it is to be the person who is present, who does see and shows kindness. We miss these (some might say small) really human one on one interactions with each other so often. What if we didn’t?
Thank you for being here, friends. 💗 Take care.
