Hello and good morning, friends.
Whenever I pull something from the archive for you, I like to write something new, bringing the meditation forward into what’s happening now. Today, as I was deciding what to share with you, I thought that what was already here feels applicable and worth sharing again.

I know that to say it has been an eventful year so far would be an understatement. Maybe even just for the last few days alone.
To start off this week, we’re spending time checking in with ourselves. We’re with the breath and also all the rest of what’s here in this moment.
Bearing witness (as we do in checking in) is a profound and important act. The Zen Peacemakers know this. It’s the second of their three tenets. The first is Not Knowing. So as we enter into these check-ins, I invite you to be curious. What’s really here? See it as it is, no additions.
The third of the tenets is Taking Action. Sometimes we say Compassionate Action. While it can often feel like a right action is hard to identify, being with what is is already something. Quantum physics teaches us that the observed is changed by the observer without any “action.” What shifts happen simply by being present?
