Hello and good morning, friends.

As I was trying to record for you today, I realized something that was happening: the sitting was getting to me. 😜

I’ve been talking a bit this week about Rohatsu, the time leading up to the Buddha’s enlightenment in the Zen tradition. Normally, I would be on retreat, but this year finds me at home and sitting with community online. It’s been quite a bit more meditation each day than is my usual and I fear that this morning I am struck by so many things at once: the vastness of practice, the way that it ripples out from us through so many parts of our lives, the way it can become a full body practice as opposed to just up in our minds.

So today, I put aside trying to say all of that to you in a meditation and opted to find the one I’m sharing today. It offers us quiet and a practice of stillness to help ease the mind. I wonder what you’ll find in it. Maybe it will inspire you to sit a little more too? (If so, we’re sitting on Sunday.)

Thank you for being here, friends. 💗 Take care.

(This meditation is from the archive. It was originally shared on 08.07.25.)

✨ Maybe taking a little more time to be quiet and still sounds like just the thing. If so, I hope you’ll consider a reiki session this weekend. Maybe there’s some other care that is calling to you. Times are available for what you need.
