Description

In the vast landscape of Christian theology, the views of Martin Luther and Ulrich Zwingli on scriptural authority in church practices have greatly impacted Christendom. While Luther advocated for a degree of freedom in church practices, arguing that anything not specifically forbidden by Scripture is permissible, Zwingli maintained a stricter adherence to the principle that only what Scripture explicitly authorizes should be embraced in worship. This article critically examines Luther's approach, advocates for the merits of Zwingli’s perspective, and encourages believers to consider the wisdom of a more cautious approach to worship.
