This week on the podcast we have Joe Kennedy, the owner of Spar’s European Sausage & Meats on Amherst St in Black Rock. I’ve wanted to have Joe on the podcast for a long time and I’m really glad we were able to schedule a talk. We have been huge fans of their meats since we first found out about the shop in 2009 and have been trying to convert everyone we know since. Their T-Meadow Hot Dogs taste like heaven and you really can’t go wrong with their Flying Bison beer brats (or really anything in their glass cases). Joe talked about his start in the restaurant world, why he decided to get out of the kitchen and take up butchering and the state of food in the US.
