Colossians 3:1, "If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God."
God raised us up and seated us together with the Lord in heavenly place. Now that we are risen with Christ we are to seek those things which are above. The Lord Jesus Christ is at the right hand of God the Father. Our hearts need to be set completely on things above, and not on things of this earth.
Is the bible teaching you listening to pointing you to your true life in heaven, or is it teaching you how to live a better life in the here and now. Is the gospel you listen to from preachers pointing you to heaven or to earth? Colossians 3:3-4.
Heavenly Father, I am dead to this world. I died in Christ upon the cross to this world. My life is now hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is my life, shall appear, then shall I also appear with him in glory. Lord, I look forward to being with you where you are. Return quickly to us, Lord Jesus, and deliver us from this world and bring us into your kingdom. Amen.
