Acts 17:31, "Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead."
God has appointed a day in which he will judge this world in righteousness. How do we know this? This bible verse teaches us we can have assurance of this appointed day of judgment because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the intersection of death and life. For those who believe in him they will not be condemned to the second death at judgment. For those who believe and trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior they will inherit eternal life at the judgment of God.
Be assured, everyone will give an account of God for their lives. Hebrews 9:27.
Father God, your word promises that there is an appointed day for every person who has ever lived. There is a day in which every person will give an account of their life to God. The only hope any person has is the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray that many people will turn to the Lord Jesus Christ in faith and call upon his name to be saved. Lord, help me to live a serious life with these truths before me. Help me to not to forget, oh Lord, that every day truly matters. In Jesus name. Amen.
