Revelation 20:6, "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years."
What is the second death? It is the lake of fire. We can avoid this lake of fire by putting our faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ today. Ask him to wash away all of your sins, to cleanse you, and to become your Lord and your Savior. Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord Jesus will be saved.
What is the first resurrection? Another scripture that describes the resurrection of believers is found in 1 Corinthians 15:52.
Jesus is the resurrection and the life. John 11:25-26.
Lord, I believe you are the resurrection and the life. I do believe you rose from the dead on the third day. I trust in you with my spirit, and soul and body, oh Lord. Thank you for giving me new life through the gospel and for baptizing me in the Holy Spirit. In Jesus name. Amen.
