Romans 6:9, "Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him."
Death was defeated by the Lord Jesus Christ. Death in a spiritual sense is separation from God. Physical death is only the beginning of death for those who are outside of Christ. For those who are in Christ Jesus they will never face separation from God. They will never die in the biblical sense of death. Death has no power over Jesus. Death has no power over those who are in Christ Jesus.
Death has been defeated, and the devil has been defeated. Hebrews 2:14; 1 Corinthians 15:55-57.
Heavenly Father, thank you for saving me through your son Jesus Christ. Thank you, Lord Jesus, that because you destroyed the power of death I never have to be separated from God. Thank you, Father, for reconciling me back to you, and for making a way for me to live with you forever. In Jesus name. Amen.
