2 Corinthians 1:9-10, "But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: 10, Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;"
Paul was in a situation that was so deadly he thought he would die. But God intervened for him and brought him out. This taught Paul that he could trust in God who raises the dead.
God gives us a new beginning. Never give up, never give in. Continue to live each day with faith the God who raises the dead. He will be our guide until the end of this life and the beginning of the next. Psalm 48:14.
Heavenly Father, many times I have been at the end of my own strength and ability in life. Many times I have felt like I could not go on any further in life. Yet you reached down into my life and rescued me. You have done this not once but many times. Lord, I give you thanks and praise for delivering me in the past, for delivering me today, and I know you will continue to deliver me in the future. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.
