Colossians 1:9, "For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;"
Paul prayed that the Colossians would be filled with the knowledge of God's will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. It is not enough to just "know" God's will. We must be FILLED with this knowledge. This is not just head knowledge; it is the kind of knowledge and understanding that controls and directs your life.
Lord Jesus, please fill me with the knowledge of God's will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. I pray that you would teach, lead, and guide me. Instruct me, Lord. Please correct me, and help me to humble myself, to repent, and to receive with meekness the engrafted word of God. Amen.
The way to be filled with the knowledge of God's will is to allow the word of Christ to dwell in us richly. Colossians 3:16. Read, study, memorize, and meditate on God's word. Never stop adding to your faith. 2 Peter 1:5.
