1 Corinthians 15:20-22, "But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 21, For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22, For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive."
Jesus is the first one who received a resurrection body. When Jesus died he had a natural body, a human body. When God raised Jesus from the dead he gave him a new body, a resurrection body. He is the first of this new creation. Believers in Jesus will receive a body like his when they are raised fro the dead.
Jesus is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he might have the preeminence. Colossians 1:18
Father God, I thank you for raising up your son the Lord Jesus from the dead on the third day. He is the firstfruits. He is the firstborn from the dead. He is the beginning of the new creation. Father, thank you for taking me out of the old creation of Adam, and placing me into the new creation of the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.
