Revelation 20:5, "But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection."
After one thousand years of Christ's reign on this earth the rest of humanity who were not yet resurrected will also be raised up from the dead.
Those who were in the first resurrection are priests of God and Christ and shall reign with Him during that thousand years. The takeaway here is that you want to be in the first resurrection. How can this happen? Put your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ today. Allow the Lord Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. Believe the gospel. Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose again on the third day. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.
Heavenly Father, I pray this day for the return of your son Jesus Christ. I pray Lord that we may be caught up together with our brothers and sisters in to the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so shall we ever be with the Lord. Lord, I look forward to receiving a new, glorified body that is free from sin and death and will live forever with you. Amen.
