Colossians 3:12-13, "Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13, Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye."
God calls us to show forbearance. This includes mercy, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Forgiveness is fundamental for the Christian. There will be disagreements between people, but we are to forgive people like Christ did. Jesus even forgave people who falsely accused him.
Don't let the sun go down while you are still angry with someone. Don't give the enemy any opportunity to get into your life and create bitterness in your heart toward anyone. Forgive immediately. Ephesians 4:26-27.
Lord, I don't want to hold any bitterness towards any person. Search my heart and life, Lord, and help me to always walk in humility and meekness and show kindness, mercy, and patience towards people. Lord, I repent of all selfish anger. I forgive those who have sinned against me. I forgive every person who is indebted to me. In Jesus name. Amen.
