Acts 2:24, "Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it."
It was not possible for death to hold the Lord Jesus down. Jesus is the resurrection and the life. This scripture proves yet again the fact of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Praise God he is risen from the dead. We do not need to be afraid of death if we are in Christ Jesus.
Our faith in Christ rests upon the fact of his resurrection. Without the resurrection of Jesus there is no Christian faith. 1 Corinthians 15:17.
Heavenly Father, I thank you that Jesus is indeed risen from the dead. He rose from the dead on the third day, he appeared to his disciples, and he ascended into heaven. Lord, I know the word says that you are now at the right hand of God the Father, and that you live forever and make intercession for us. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for praying and interceding for me today. Amen.
