Luke 2:40,52, "And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him. 52, And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man."
The Lord Jesus continued to grow and increase in wisdom. God's will for us is that we be filled with the knowledge of his will, in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, and that we continue to increase in the knowledge of God each day. Growth is the evidence of life. Stagnation is evidence of death.
Scripture commands us to increase in spiritual wisdom and understanding and to continue to add to our faith every day. Colossians 1:10; 2 Peter 1:5-11.
Heavenly Father, I want to grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ every day. I cannot stand still, I must go forward. Help me to know you more every day, Lord. Grant me the grace and power of the Spirit to remove any obstacles that would come between us, so that I may have a constant supply of the life of the Spirit. Lord Jesus, I want to know you more every day. Amen.
