Acts 17:3, "Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ."
Paul preached and taught from the Old Testament scriptures that Christ needed to suffer and rise from the dead. We see this also in the conversation with Jesus and his disciples on the road to Emmaus.
Do you know those scriptures in the Old Testament that point to the suffering of Christ and his resurrection. One place you can look is in the book of Job.
Heavenly Father, everything that took place in the life of Christ on earth was foretold in the scriptures. His birth, life, ministry, death, and resurrection were all foretold by the prophets in the Old Testament. I pray that you would open the eyes of the blind who only read the Old Testament that they will see that these scriptures point directly to the Messiah, Jesus Christ. Amen.
