Romans 6:4, "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."
In baptism we are identifying ourselves with the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is our testimony to the world that we died in Jesus and have raised together with him to a new life. We now walk in a new life, by the power of the Holy Spirit.
If any man is in Christ he is a new creation. 2 Corinthians 5:17.
Heavenly Father, this new life in Christ is a life of being filled with the Holy Spirit. I can do nothing without you, Holy Spirit. I need you every day, all the time. I am helpless without you, Lord. Fill me again today with the Holy Spirit. Thank you, Lord, for raising me up together with you and giving me a new life in Christ.
