Hosea 13:14, "I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes."
The Lord Jesus has redeemed us from the power of the grave, and he has redeemed us from death. How is this possible? He died in our place on the cross, he was buried, and then he rose from the dead on the third day. Through this God has made a way for us to be redeemed from the penalty of death and the grave.
This scripture is quoted by Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:55.
Heavenly Father, I thank you for placing me into Christ, for uniting me with him in death, burial, and resurrection. Thank you Lord that the grave and death no longer has power over me because I have been redeemed by the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for saving me from the grave and from death. Amen.
