Amos 4:12, "Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel."
The Bible teaches us to live our life in view and in the knowledge of giving an account for our life. The Lord gave us life. He will call us to an account of how we used the life he gave to us. This truth is repeated over and over throughout the Bible in detailed lists of numbering and accounting practices.
Are you prepared to meet God? As a Christian, if Jesus were to come back today, would you be ashamed of your life and how you are living? Live in such a way that there will be no reason to be ashamed of yourself at the coming of the Lord. 1 Peter 4:7.
Heavenly Father, I pray that I can live every day with the expectancy of the return of Christ. Help me every day to be on fire for the Lord Jesus, and not in compromise. I pray that my heart will be fixed on the Lord Jesus every day. Amen.
