John 2:22, "When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said."
It is a challenge to remember the word of the Lord. This is one reason why I think it is so important to study God's word to the point of memorizing it. Real memory of God's word comes when we study it to the level of having the words in our heart and in our mind at all times.
Sometimes people hear the word but it does not change their lives. Hear, receive, and hold fast to the word of God so that you can bear the fruit of God's word in your life. Matthew 13:3-8.
Heavenly Father, help me to hold fast to your word and not forget what you have taught me, what you showed to me, and what I have learned. Lord, please help me to keep the word of God in my heart, and be ready always with your word on my lips. Help me, Lord, to never forget or let go of the word of God. Amen.
