John 11:24-25, "Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. 25, Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live"
These scriptures always remind me of the difference between Bible doctrine and the living reality of the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. Martha knew Bible doctrine about the resurrection. Jesus told her that he is resurrection and life.
Do you have a relationship today with the living God in Christ? Or do you just put your trust in some Bible doctrines about him? Jesus is the resurrection and life! Make sure you have a living relationship with him today, and don't be satisfied with just having Bible knowledge or facts about him. 1 Peter 1:3.
Heavenly Father, I thank you for son Jesus Christ. He is the resurrection and the life. The man who believes in Jesus will live forever with him. Thank you, Lord, for raising me from the dead. You did not leave me dead in trespasses and sins, but you delivered me from the power of darkness and translated me into your kingdom. Thank you Jesus for what you have done for me, what you are doing today, and what you will soon do in the future. Amen.
