Matthew 28:6-7, "He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7, And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you."

The Lord is risen from the dead. This is the foundation of our faith. Without this fact there is no salvation, no forgiveness, no eternal life. Jesus is risen from the dead. He is the firstborn from the dead.

He is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that in all things he might have the preeminence. Colossians 1:18.

Father God, I thank you for the resurrection of your son Jesus Christ from the dead. Lord, you fulfilled your prophecies about your son who came into this world to give himself for us, to provide salvation, redemption, forgiveness, and eternal life. I thank you for the gospel of Jesus Christ, that Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose again on the third day. Amen.
