Colossians 1:11, "Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;"
God's will is full joy in Christ. His purpose is for us to rejoice in the Lord always. This is spiritual joy produced when we are strengthened by God's power through patience and longsuffering. God gives joy in the middle of the trial. This is joy in his presence while standing in the furnace.
Heavenly Father, I understand it is your will for me to experience fullness of joy. Scripture encourages me to rejoice in the Lord always. Though life may be hard, and I may face difficult situations, I know you are always with me in middle of it all. In your presence there is fullness of joy. Lord, strengthen me today with your glorious power that I may have all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness, in Jesus name. Amen.
The Lord exhorts us to pray and ask that we may receive fullness of joy. It is God's will for our joy to be full. John 16:24; 1 John 1:4.
