Luke 7:14-15, "And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. 15, And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother."
When Jesus raised this man from the dead it says that the dead sat up and began to speak. He raises us up from the dead also. When we are filled with the Holy Spirit and born again then we open our mouth and began to speak the truth in Jesus. We share with others the good news we are risen from the dead in Christ Jesus. Jesus is risen from the dead, and we are risen together with him.
We have several examples in the Bible where Jesus raised people from the dead. What does this tell us about him? He has authority over life and death. Death has no more dominion over him (and those who are in Him). Romans 6:9.
Heavenly Father, I thank you that death has been defeated by the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the beginning and the firstborn from the dead. He is the giver of life. He is the resurrection and the life. Thank you Father God for raising me from the dead through your son Jesus Christ. Amen.
