Mark 9:9, "And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead."

Peter, James, and John had a vision of the glorified Lord Jesus upon the mountain of transfiguration. The Lord instructed them not to tell anyone about this vision until after he was risen from the dead. When the Lord gives us a vision we need to wait upon the Lord to know if we should share what he gives us, and also when we share what he gives to us. Sometimes the Lord will give us a vision just for ourselves, sometimes it is for others, and sometimes it is for a later time. Learn to wait on the Lord for instructions.

Peter mentioned this event in his letters to the church. 2 Peter 1:16-18.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for revealing your son Jesus Christ to us. I thank you for giving us life through his name. Lord, you reveal to us your will and purpose in so many different ways. Thank you for your written word that we can use to measure all things we see in the spirit. Lord, teach us to wait upon you, and to always know what we should share and when we should share it. Amen.
