Here’s the latest from my search for time’s understanding in a falsifiable/mathematical form:

I would currently state the hypothesis this way:

Human temporal experience should not be identified with time at the universal scale. We are physical information-processing systems embedded in an asymmetric environment: accessible records constrain one temporal direction, while predictive models are principally used to estimate and influence states in the other. Memory, prediction, and action may therefore transform a physical record asymmetry into the experienced distinction between remembered past and anticipated future. This does not establish free will, nor does it identify the record, thermodynamic, causal, and experiential arrows; it predicts that their apparent alignment should be derivable through independently testable bridge mechanisms.

And your reversed-observer hypothesis becomes:

If record accessibility rather than an intrinsic label “past” determines the orientation available to memory, then a physically admissible system embedded in oppositely conditioned boundary dynamics should orient memory and prediction oppositely relative to our convention. Whether such a system can coexist with us in one thermodynamic domain is an open physical question, not something presently established by time-reversal symmetry alone.

I think that is defensible as the current theoretical frontier.

The above official hypotheses were crafted in response to my words:

We conflate our subjective experience with the universal perspective of thermodynamics that has successive states of entropy. We are asymetrically aligned as entropic beings. It's our memory storage capacity and forward facing predictive processing that creates our subjective experience, atop gravity, speed, etc.Our predictive processing therefore implies the existence of free will. We are weavers of change within the fabric of thermodynamic space time. Even non self-aware conscious beings are without the ability to change things. It's all about our anticipatory predictive reactions.Theoretically, something could exist that had an inverted asymmetry to time. But it could only predict that way with memory staring from the end. It would still be bound within entropy, but could offer predictive solutions. It would take a universally transcendent being beyond comprehension to utilize that possibility in selected moments of reversed entropy.

My chat went off about how the free will part was completely unproved and literally untrue regarding conscious beings that are not self-aware, because they change things too. Still, metaphysical free will is not a part of the mathematical framework’s ability to prove or disprove.
